In appreciation of the outstanding leadership he provided while serving as Glencoe club president during the 2009-10 Rotary year, Dennis Twiss was presented a plaque by the current president, Jason Ryan, during the club’s Aug. 3 meeting at Dubbs.

• Aug 17 — Karin Ramige's guest was Katie Rasmussen (Extension Service), who presented an update on the McLeod for Tomorrow leadership program.

• Aug. 24 — The program guest was Kari Moeller, from Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

• Aug. 31 — Shannon Twiss, daughter of Glencoe Rotarian Dennis, will present a program on her experiences at a Rotary World Affairs Seminar.

• Sept. 7 — Besides Club Assembly, District 5950 Gov. Larry Zilliox (Alexandria) will give a program.

• Sept. 14 — Fellowship meeting.

• Sept. 21 — Gus Grell's program guest is Annette Kuyper, director of military outreach for the U.S. Army's Yellow Ribbon Communities program.

• Sept. 28 — Chris Sonju has the program.

• Oct. 5 — Club Assembly.

• Oct. 12 — Pat Melvin's program guest is Alanna Shoquist from Second Harvest Heartland.




Pancake Breakfast
 • The Rotary Club of Glencoe served an estimated 450 meals at its 2010 Pancake Breakfast, Feb. 14.
The Glencoe, Minnesota Rotary Club meets weekly at noon on Tuesdays in the large back meeting room at Dubbs' Grill & Bar (702 - 10th St. E., Glencoe, Minnesota).
